Zerion Extension Invitations: How to Get Them

Over the past few days, we distributed invitations to everyone who uses the Zerion Wallet extension. If that’s you, check your wallet — there, you should see links to three invites. If you don’t yet have the Zerion extension, read on to find out how to get the invitations.

In this post, we’ll explain what the Zerion Extension Invitation Pass is, how it works, and where to find it.

How Zerion Extension invitations work

Zerion Extension Invitation Pass is an NFT that unlocks access to the Zerion Wallet extension.

At first, each invitation is simply a link to a claim page on Linkdrop. Once claimed, the NFT is minted by a smart contract on Polygon.

Here’s how the invitations work:

  1. Any active user of the Zerion Wallet extension now has three invitations

  2. Each invite is a unique link to the NFT claim page

  3. The invited person can connect their wallet and mint the NFT

  4. The address with the NFT is then whitelisted to access Zerion Extension and can be imported

  5. Once the NFT is claimed, three new invitation links are given out

If you have invitations, you can technically “invite” your other addresses. But if you already use the Zerion extension, you can easily import other wallets. Click on ⚙️ and then ‘Manage Wallets’ to create new addresses or import them via seed phrase or private key.

So if you’re one of the happy holders of invitations, send them to your friends.

Or just share them on Twitter, Discord, or any other social media.

How to get invitations to the Zerion extension

If you don’t have the invitation, you can ask around in communities that we previously whitelisted for early access to the Zerion extension. The incomplete and ever-expanding list includes:

  • DegenScore

  • LobsterDAO

  • Gitcoin Passport

  • Disco.xyz

  • Bebop

  • Aura

  • Squid

FAQ

How do I invite someone to the Zerion extension?

In your Zerion Wallet, you will find three invites — copy the link and send it to whoever you want to invite. They will then be able to claim the NFT, which will whitelist their address for the Zerion extension.

Why don’t I see invitations in my Zerion extension?

If you don’t see the invitations, you might need to update your extension. Go to chrome://extensions/ and turn the developer mode on. Then search for Zerion and update it if the version is not 1.0.1.3.

I got Zerion Extension Invitation Pass, now what?

Once you claimed the NFT, you can install Zerion Extension and import the address that holds the NFT. You can import the address by entering your seed phrase or private key.

Why do I need to import my address into Zerion?

To fully experience the advantages of Zerion Wallet, you need an active address with your NFTs, tokens, and transaction history. That’s why we are asking you to import the existing address that you use across Web3.

If you minted the Zerion Extension Invitation Pass to an address you don’t want to import, you can also transfer that NFT to another address — then this address will be whitelisted for Zerion Extension.

Can I mint Zerion Extension Invitation Pass to my address?

Technically you can. But if you already use Zerion Wallet, you can import your other addresses by clicking on ⚙️ and then ‘Manage Wallets’.

If you already minted the invitation NFT to your own wallet, you can send that NFT via Zerion.
